The Yo Prep dough recipe has evolved over years of family gatherings and celebrations. Our family has an annual tradition where we meet to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and other milestones. Fried dumplings and festivals are considered must-have delicacies for our family gatherings during these times.
Our children enjoy fried dumplings by themselves, as well as with scrambled and fried eggs; fried chicken, jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, as well as fish, (just to name a few!). Adults also enjoy fried dumplings and festivals with any meat and vegetarian substitutes, such as ackee and saltfish, callaloo and saltfish, and the list goes on.
